The Deputy Minority leader, Dominic Nitiwul has predicted an easy victory for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the forthcoming December 7 polls as the change mantra is making waves.

According to him, Ghanaians are extremely disturbed with the appalling state of the economy and that they are desperately clamouring for change.

“Mahama is gone,” he said Wednesday on Starr Chat.

“That word change is all over,” he told host Bola Ray adding that “people need this change; people need fresh ideas. They think the NDC is tired. They think there’s corruption. They think youth unemployment is real problem. They are huge [and] people are sitting in their houses. People complete schools and they cannot get any job. They think that the government is not solving the problem.”

He continued that due to his security background and what he has picked from the ground “this election is only God’s…but I can tell you that Mahama is gone.

"It is very clear that [victory] is cruising towards the NPP. We have over thirty days to election and the signs are already showing that the president is looking very tired.”

Nitiwul, who is the NPP Member of Parliament for Bimbila also stated that he will be retaining his seat in the forthcoming parliamentary contest in the constituency as the candidate put forward by the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) is no match for him.

He said the NDC is fighting a losing battle and that they have chosen the wrong candidate for the area, who lacks message.

He thus declared that “I’ll defeat them handsomely.”
